![]() Okay, maybe 7 will do something special? Nope. well it didn't advance much in the AI department. No-one else had captured the scale of a battlefield like this before. I was so excited about how seeing what future hardware would allow the team to accomplish. ![]() Mount and blade warband mod dynasty warriors series#I was lucky enough to be introduced to the series with DW2, and saw it evolve with 3, 4, and 5, as well as the hardware would allow. Omega Force is just so unremarkable of a developer. It infuriates me to no end knowing the DW games could be so much more. DW is designed to let you grab a huge chunk of enemies with each hit.īefore people tell me to play on a higher difficulty, here's what the highest difficulty enemies look like in DW9. Obviously, it wouldn't be fun if all 100 soldiers are aggressively attacking you, but the way DW games work, you have wide AOE moves designed to judge 20 or so enemies at once, so it's not like Sekiro where it gets hectic if you're ganged up by 3 or more enemies. Sure, maybe there are still not as many units on screen as DW, but by god does this look like a convincing war is being played out! Sekiro wasn't even designed for big-scale battles like this, but when you put them together, the AI will fight! I'm not asking for DW to be on the same level of difficulty as Sekiro, but it would be nice to have all those units do something instead of just standing around. Yes, even with 5 or 6 units, it's nothing compared to Dynasty Warriors, right? There's an AI there governing this fight, and it's not a scripted scene. They all fight convincingly with each other. Some of the battles have 5 or 6 units clashing. If you've played the game you know the AI can fight each other. The combat is mediocre, and even though the game has tons of units on screen, it just looks like everyone is just standing around (not counting the generals) and if you're lucky, the NPCs might take a swing at each other to pretend they're fighting. But the games fail in every way imaginable. ![]() ![]() I love the period and love action brawlers. For all intents and purposes, I'm supposed to like - no, love the Dynasty Warriors series. ![]()
